Masai Mara 3 Days Tour

Day 1: Nairobi- Masai Mara

After breakfast be picked from the hotel and depart for Masai Mara Game reserve through the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley where we will stop for optional souvenirs, and/or photography. Day 2: Masai Mara

A full day is spent at the Masai Mara game reserve. Mara is one of the iconic wildlife regions in the African continent and as abundant wildlife. Drive across the plains in search of the big cats- black manned lions, cheetahs and leopards. You may have a chance to see among others African elephant, Wildebeest, the Topi, Zebra hartebeest, Eland.  Return to the camp during the sun set for Dinner and overnight stay at the camp. On clear days, Masai Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment with a sun downers back at your lodge . Day 3: Masai Mara-Nairobi

Being your last day at the Mara, you can either choose to go for an early Morning balloon trip which is usually very outstanding way of seeing the Savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast alternatively you could opt for an early morning game drive before being transferred to Nairobi. (Meal plan: Breakfast)

Day 1: Nairobi-Amboseli

After early breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for Lunch at Lodge/Camp. Enjoy an evening Game drive till Dusk. Amboseli is Kenya’s most sought park, located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain Mt Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for its big game – elephants, lions and cheetahs are the main attractions – and for its great scenery beauty. Day 2: Amboseli

Day 3: Amboseli-Lake Nakuru NP

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru national park. Get to the park in time for lunch and enjoy an evening Game Drive. Lake Nakuru is an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. The park has also an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Day4: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara

Day 3: Masai Mara

Day4: Masai Mara-Serengeti

After Breakfast have a game drive reroute to Isbania border with packed lunch. This will include normal border crossing formalities to take only a few minutes. This is drive will take up to 8 hours through rough road.  Serengeti National Park is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Tanzania and boarders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. Day 5: Serengeti

Enjoy a game drive through Tanzania’s most infamous park. This park offers expansive view of the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra where 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and other plains game that follow close behind, making their way across the plains to Masai Mara, stalked by the inevitable predators who make the most of the feast close at hand. This annual migration through the Serengeti and Masai Mara is one of the safari highlights of Africa. The population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also in large numbers. Day 6: Serengeti- Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater via Ol Duvai Gorge. Embark on a half-day crater tour; Ngorongoro is an impressive 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600 m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife. Visit site of early man discovery by of Louis Leakey. We will enjoy lunch overlooking the crater, and the afternoon will be spent at leisure. Day 7: Ngorongoro- Lake Manyara

After Breakfast, enjoy early morning game drive on your way to Lake Manyara.  Lake Manyara is famous tree climbing lions and its abundance of birds with over 400 species of birds. Enjoy the view of other animals, such as, zebra, impalas, hippos, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest Warthog baboons and monkeys. Lunch will be followed by afternoon Game drive. Day 8: Lake Manyara-Arusha-Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy morning game drive reroute Arusha. Enjoy lunch in Arusha town and later transfer to Nairobi through Namanga Border. Proceed on to Nairobi arriving by 1600 HRS. Depending with your International flight, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for check-in. (Meal plan: Breakfast)

Day2: Aberdare-Samburu

After breakfast depart for Samburu national Reserve. Arrive at camp in the afternoon in time for a game drive at this immense reserve with miles of rolling plains and wooded hills. You will have the opportunity to observe the magnificent game of the African wild in their natural habitat, spotting herds of elephants and prides of lions. Day3: Samburu

Enjoy full day at the reserve with morning and evening game drives. The reserve is rich with wildlife and famous for rare species such as, Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). It’s also abundant with elephants, large predators lions, leopard an cheater. An occasional crocodile will appear on the banks of the Uaso Ngiro River. Day 2: Nairobi- Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, travel through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game reserve. Day 5: Lake Naivasha-Lake Nakuru

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary. Day 6: Lake Nakuru-Lake Bogoria

After breakfast drive to Lake Bogoria where the hot water spring and geysers are bound. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the pink lake, with over 2 million flamingos; Lake Bogoria holds the highest density of these birds worldwide.  After lunch, visit Lake Baringo. A boat trip to see various species of birds and very ancient caves. (The boat ride is only one hour). If you require more hours, one pays direct.  Day7: Lake Bogoria-Samburu

Day 8: Samburu

Enjoy morning game drive, this wildlife reserve provides some of the best and most colorful game viewing in the country. Samburu is inhabited by a wide variety of animals, more so the rare species such as the long- necked gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx. Other animals include the leopard, the mighty lion, elephants; crocodiles can be seen swimming in the Ewaso Nyiro River along with the hippo. Day 9: Samburu-Meru National Park

Day 10: Meru national park

Another full day in the park with extensive game drives. Meru National Park contains a variety of eco-systems – from near desert scrubland to tropical marshes and riverine zones with sizable waterways, even rain forest (Ngaya Forest). It teams with wildlife, including the famed Big Five – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. With over 400 bird species reported, a birdwatchers paradise. Day 11: Meru national Park-Ol Pajeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart to the exquisite Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the secluded heart of the Ol Pajeta Ranch and Rhino sanctuary. Here Rhinos are given protection. Visit Chimpanzee sanctuary as well. Lunch is served at the Camp. Sweetwaters is built in a private ranch and supports large number of game which includes elephant, giraffe e.t.c and you will have an opportunity for an optional night games . Depart and drive to the “Land of Lava, Springs & Man-Eaters” Tsavo West National Park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing and attractions in the world. Enjoy the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs  to the Shetani  lava flows. Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. From the Poacher’s Lookout visitors can see the teeming wild herds in the plains below. Day 14: Tsavo West- Tsavo East

After breakfast and check out, depart and drive to Tsavo east. Day 15: Tsavo East- Mombasa or Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

After breakfast, drive from Nairobi south to Amboseli National Park, right on the border with Tanzania. This park affords everyone’s classic image of East Africa – herds of great animals moving across the dusty plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro rising straight up in the background. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain at 19,340 feet (5,895 metre). Although it is situated inside Tanzania, the best views of the mountain are from Amboseli on the Kenyan side of the border. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in majestic Amboseli. Day 2: Amboseli

Full day spent in Amboseli National Park, famous for its wild game and spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Have the chance to see the Big Five while enjoying the comforts of your game drive. The day is comprised of two game drives, one in the morning and one in the early evening. Your driver’s keen eyes will come in handy while exploring the countryside. Day 3: Amboseli- Tsavo West

From the flat plains and swamps of Amboseli, travel east to Tsavo West National Park. Outside the park gates are the Shetani Lava Flows, “frozen” rivers of molten black rock twisted in bizarre shapes. At just over 7,800 square miles (20,000 sq Km), Tsavo is Kenya’s largest national park. The park is home to a huge variety of animals and birds, especially around the watering holes in this otherwise dry area. During the fall these watering holes are a stopover for hundreds of thousands of birds on their annual migration south. The Mzima Springs are the source of the freshwater pools much favored by Hippos and crocodiles. There is even a glass wall for viewing the pools from under the water line. Wildlife which can be spotted in this area includes lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, baboons and several species of antelope. Day 4: Tsavo West / Mombasa

Breakfast at the lodge/Camp then drive to Mombasa. The City of Mombasa provides an interesting experience with the old Portuguese Fort Jesus, Old Town, Markets and Shops. An extensive variety of excursions are available to sample the local culture and the famous Kenyan wildlife. Day 6: Mombasa
